…love day
i wonder if valentine’s day is one of GOD’s planned days or if HE wants everyday to be love day?  i really don’t think it was HIS idea because he has told us to put on love every day. now i do think that if HE had a day that HE might call love day it would be sunday, the day that most of HIS church gathers to worship HIM but i’m afraid for many churches that is not the case.
i’m focusing in my time @ harvest tomorrow on the first 12 verses of james 2 and james the pastor of jerusalem 1st church is dealing with the problem we have of playing favorites - a rich person comes in, we give them the best seat, a poor person comes in, we give them the worst seat. we of course still de-love or discriminate like that in many churches today. but that is really not what this matter of being a CHRIST-lover is all about.ÂÂ
now my biggest hope and prayer for tomorrow @ harvest is that every one will come into our gatherings and feel loved.  someone will sit with that one who comes in that is so very lonely, or stop long enough to feel the pain of that hurting person who feels like they can’t go on or lets that single mom know they are not alone or whatever that person we will see will need. and shouldn’t that be a natural out flow of a people who really know that they are CHRIST-loved, because if i am loved i will love.
now the truth is i am going to make valentine’s day a special day for my wife, margaret. we will do something just a little more special but i really do love her every day, i just don’t express my love with as much planning as i will on tuesday.
well, i am looking forward to tomorrow because i know that i will be with some people who know what tomorrow is, it is love day and they will express it in so many different ways. i am the most fortunate pastor to be the pastor of las vegas harvest a place where people let me know and feel what it means to be loved. i hope you have a happy love day too.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 “If I speak with the tounges of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledege; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possesions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.”
